Calling 911
Every once in a while we all are
faced with an emergency, in the event that the emergency requires the
use of any emergency service personal regardless of where you live you
and your family should know how to and what information is needed when
calling 911 for help.
When the dispatcher answers a call for help the dispatcher will be
asking the following questions.
Dispatcher-- 911 where is your emergency?
give the dispatcher the following:
Name:
Type of emergency:
Location of the emergency:
Your phone number:
Your address:
Any type of land marks to make finding you easier:
Please don't hang up until you are told to by the dispatcher
If there are children in the residence please take some time and review
this information with the children, and post the necessary near all the
phones in your home who know it might be your child that saves your life
because you took the time to review this information with your children

station tours tours are held on Wednesday evening

How old do you have to be to
Join?
We will accept new members at
the age of 14 years old. However to be classified as a Junior member you
must be at least 16 years old, and a senior member is over the age of 18
Does the VRFR
provide training?
Yes all training and equipment
will be provided to you. There are several fire training weekends held
in the area as well as in house training.
Does VRFR have
any Dalmatians?
Yes, currently our fire company
has 3 Dalmatians that accompany us to area schools and day care centers
helping us to teach and promote fire safety.
